| Thallus pale fawn, tuberculate, glossy. Ascomata black, richly branched, immersed in conspicuous off-white stromata 1–3 mm wide; lirellae 0.10–0.15 mm wide. Disc black, faintly white-pruinose. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Ascospore 8 per ascus, pale brown, 4-locular, 18–20 × 5–6 µm. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |

| Known from one coastal locality in north-eastern Qld, and reported for the first time from Australia. Also in Japan and SE Asia. | ||
